For Spanish speakers like me, it is tricky learning how to say I love you in English.
Mainly because in Spanish, we have a designated word to express every phase and hue of love.
Spanish language should be considered the language of love.
Spanish language has a unique word to express the love you have for a dear friend. And a different word to express your deepest feelings to someone you can’t imagine your life without.
Those two expressions are: te quiero and te amo.
Next time you say I love you in Spanish, assure you are actually expressing exactly what you mean. Otherwise, Spanish speakers can confused or get excited about it.
